The tower was armed with cannons to fight against naval Commader Dragut, Algeri Viceroy and Lord of Tripoli between 1530 and 1565.\u200b<\/p>\n<p>Over the centuries, La Spagnuola was transformed in the Gentilitial Palace that hosted rank figures as the Naples Viceroy, Count of O\u00f1ate, in 1653 as well as Napoleon and his Generals in 1796.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.laspagnuola.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/storia.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1256\" height=\"937\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.laspagnuola.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/storia.jpg 1256w, https:\/\/www.laspagnuola.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/storia-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.laspagnuola.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/storia-768x573.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.laspagnuola.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/storia-1024x764.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1256px) 100vw, 1256px\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-222 no-lazyload\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>The traditional masses dedicated to Holy Mother of Lourdes<\/h3>\n<p>Since 1893, every year the Chapel of La Spagnuola hosts three days of celebration of masses for the Holy Mother of Lourdes.<br \/>\n\u200b<br \/>\nThe two world wars never interrupted the tradition that brings together the Family and the Savona community.
